Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island in the last term of junior high. Dina Meyer is the younger sibling of Gregory, and has an older brother called Evan. At the age of 9 up to 16, she started working in the entertainment business by acting. Ron Stetson trained her in the acting techniques of Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse. The process took approximately three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training as did Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton are also amongst the actors who have received the same type of instruction. Her first acting role came in Beverly Hills 90210. This required her moving out to Los Angeles. The first film she appeared in was Johnny Mnemonic. She did every stunt in the movie, and it helped establish her as an athletic actor. Through her agent who also manages Matt LeBlanc she scored a appearance as a guest on Friends.
